Everyone loves pizza. The ooey gooey cheesy goodness is adored by all ages. But takeout is expensive and let’s be honest, really bad for you, and homemade versions can be more work than we care to put into a meal. Who has time to make their own dough? Certainly not me! Pizza is supposed to be a convenient time-saving meal.
Enter Mini Pizzas, the busy mom’s quick and healthy alternative to fast food or frozen pizza. I made these for supper yesterday with Little 1 “helping” and still was able to finish in under thirty minutes. Definitely a win!
Naan bread rounds
1 can of pizza sauce
Any toppings your family enjoys. We used pepperoni, diced red onions, sliced button mushrooms, grated mozzarella, chopped tomatoes, sliced olives, and sliced jalapenos.
Preheat oven to 425°. Line a large cookie sheet with aluminum foil for easier cleanup.
Lay your naan bread out on the cookie sheet. Spread about 2tbsp of sauce on each piece of bread (it’s not a science, add more if you like your pizza saucier).
Add your preferred toppings. Little 1 was convinced the harder he pushed on the pepperoni slices the better his pizza would taste!
Add the cheese last, and then sprinkle with garlic powder and parsley flakes.
Bake on the middle rack at 425° until the cheese is bubbly and golden, about 10-15 minutes depending on your oven.
Let sit for 3 minutes after you take them out of the oven to avoid a hospital trip for sauce burns. 🙂 Transfer to plates and enjoy with a side garden salad for a complete meal you can feel good about feeding your family.
Toddler seal of approval! Happy cooking everyone.
